Suriname’s national oil company (NOC) Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname (Staatsolie), Malaysia’s energy titan Petronas, U.S.-based oil major Chevron, and Qatar’s state-owned oil & gas giant QatarEnergy have signed up for two blocks off the coast of Suriname that were secured as part of a consortium during the Suriname Post Shallow Offshore 2 Bid Round 2024-2025 held in June 2025.
