Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for a two-year firm contract from an undisclosed energy company for field support vessel (FSV) services. The contract, which also has a one-year option to extend, was won by the 2008-built Skandi Seven. It is defined as very large, excluding the optional period and additional services, which for DOF means a contract worth between $100m and $200m. The start of the work will be in the fourth quarter of 2024 and is planned in direct continuation of the ongoing contract. In addition to vessel services, DOF shall deliver a full suite of project management, engineering, and logistical services. Preparations for the contract have already started from the company’s integrated marine operations team located in Bergen, Norway. “We are very pleased with another award from a very important energy company. With Skandi Seven, we recently reached another milestone delivering more than 3m manhours without any lost time injuries while conducting FSV duties. I’m enthusiastic about this award, which will utilise our experience in conducting advanced subsea operations,” said Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group.
