Updates on Japan P&I PEME Package and addition of a clinic for Filipino Crew 11 June 2024 No.24-005 Tweet Download PDF (1,092KB) In October 2001, we established a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) scheme for Filipino seafarers, Japan P&I PEME Package. We have recommended the members to use the scheme in order to reduce the crew illness claims arising from the pre-existing condition by performing extra tests in addition to the minimum standard. Please refer to our Circular No.15-018 dated 19 February 2016 and our Japan P&I News No.1216   dated 22 March 2023.   We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our network of accredited clinics and updated the examination items and fees to make the Japan P&I PEME more effective and accessible for a larger number of our members. Please take this opportunity to utilize the new Japan P&I PEME to help prevent crew illness claims involving Filipino seafarers. Please contact each clinic when making an appointment.     Addition of the accredited clinic in Davao Until now, ten Japan P&I accredited clinics are located in the Manila, Cebu, and Iloilo. We are pleased to announce that the following clinic in Davao will be added to our list of accredited clinics.
