FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin Federal prosecutors have filed additional criminal charges in connection with the 2024 collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, accusing the Chief Engineer of the container ship Dali of violating maritime safety regulations. According to a criminal information filed by prosecutors, the Chief Engineer allegedly failed to disclose to the U.S. Coast Guard a flushing pump configuration aboard the Dali that investigators say contributed to a catastrophic loss of power before the vessel struck the bridge on 26 March 2024.
