Hybrid cars and other alternative fuel vehicles are not considered since the largest share of new energy vehicles are EVs. The proportion of other alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) in the global car fleet is currently limited and unlikely to grow significantly in the near future. It is recommended that Members take note of this information and be guided accordingly.
