File Image / Pixabay Maritime emissions management firm OceanScore has expanded its FuelEU Maritime pooling marketplace as trading activity and pricing in the compliance market continue to fluctuate. OceanScore Pool-Price Index (OPX), which tracks FuelEU pooling costs, dropped to €190 per mt of CO2e by mid-April after standing above €230 six months earlier, it said in an email statement on Wednesday . Prices later recovered to more than €225 in May . The company had launched the index in September 2025 . OceanScore also reported a sharp rise in surplus offers on its marketplace, with more than a dozen active offers now available across different volumes and pricing levels. The company said the market remains volatile, noting that OPX briefly climbed to almost €300 during late-April trading for 2025 compliance balances. “Pooling is not just about having a surplus or deficit position, Albrecht Grell , managing director of OceanScore, said. “It is about having access to the market at the right time, with the right counterparties and sufficient transparency on pricing.” OceanScore said it has introduced weekly OPX updates and expanded both self-service and managed support options for marketplace users.
