Engineering and technology company Ricardo has appointed Jason Oms O’Donnell as its new Chief Executive Officer. O’Donnell succeeds to lead the company following Ricardo’s acquisition by WSP in October 2025. He joined Ricardo as an automotive graduate and has spent 25 years with the company. The appointment comes as Ricardo introduces a refreshed brand that reflects its heritage while positioning the business for the next generation of advanced propulsion and sustainable energy technologies. Ricardo said the new brand builds on the company’s engineering legacy and supports its future focus on propulsion, energy transition and advanced manufacturing. The leadership change follows WSP’s decision to divest Ricardo’s automotive and manufacturing businesses while integrating its environmental, energy consulting and rail operations into WSP from July 2026. He said the company will continue building on its long history of engineering innovation while supporting customers through the transition to cleaner and more efficient technologies.
