Brazil – Maritime Traffic Information System (SISTRAM) – No.2 8 January 2014 No.656 Download PDF (147KB) Members are referred to the previous Japan P&I News No.649 dated 21 November 2013 in which members were advised that the commencement of a new vessel reporting system called SISTRAM (Maritime Traffic Information System) to be introduced in the country had been postponed until at least 15 January 2014. We have been advised by the correspondents that the system is now scheduled to enter into force on 28 February 2014. The correspondents nevertheless recommend that members send their vessels’ position and navigation data to the following e-mail address: controle@cotram.mar.mil.br even before the commencement of the system.
