Swedish offshore vessel owner Viking Supply Ships is set for a leadership change after chief executive Trond Myklebust resigned at his own request, bringing an end to nearly a decade in the role. The Nasdaq Stockholm-listed company confirmed that Myklebust will remain in position until August 1, 2026, while the board begins the process of identifying a successor. Chairman Bengt Rem thanked Myklebust for his contribution over the past 10 years, noting his role in steering the company through a period of restructuring and improving market conditions. Myklebust joined Viking Supply Ships in 2017 and previously held senior roles, including chief executive positions at Bourbon Norway, Kongsberg Evotec and Fjord Shipping.
