FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin Worldwide AIS Network has reported a series of anomalous AIS position reports that it says indicate GNSS interference affecting ships in the Black Sea and Gulf region. According to the company, four vessels off the Bulgarian coast recently transmitted 27 AIS positions showing the ships located within a single 1 km area in central Lima, Peru, approximately 12,129 km from their actual location. Worldwide AIS Network said the incident was detected directly at its terrestrial AIS receivers, rather than through an aggregated maritime data feed.
