PSA Singapore has handled 25 million TEUs at Tuas Port since operations began in September 2022. The milestone reflects the continued expansion of operations at the fully automated container terminal. It also highlights Tuas Port’s growing role in global trade. Strengthening global trade connections Tuas Port supports cargo flows as maritime trade responds to changing geopolitical conditions. The port also forms a key part of PSA Group’s Node to Network strategy. Through this approach, PSA connects its Singapore transshipment operations with its wider global port network. As a result, customers can access greater flexibility, stronger connectivity and more efficient end-to-end supply chain services. “With global trade patterns becoming increasingly complex, robust coordination across ports and supply chain nodes has become more essential than ever,” said Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO, PSA International. “Tuas Port’s integrated port ecosystem, designed to future-proof supply chains, streamlines terminal and logistics services,” added Ong. According to Ong, the system allows customers to move cargo with greater agility, resilience and confidence. Focus on innovation and digitalisation PSA plans to continue developing its network of port ecosystems. The company will also use innovation and digitalisation to support trade flows beyond Singapore.
