Denis Petropoulos, Chair of the LISW25 Board of Advisors and former Chairman of the Baltic Exchange, told Xinde Marine News in an exclusive interview that the industry must confront the paradoxes shaping its future.   "We're looking at decarbonisation versus affordability, globalisation versus protectionism, and innovation versus regulation. These are the contradictions that shipping must navigate to remain resilient and relevant." Petropoulos said. A Week of Global Engagement   The Headline Conference, chaired by Citi's Michael Parker, will be opened with a keynote address by IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez, setting the stage for a high-level debate on globalization. The first panel, moderated by Nusrat Ghani MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, will pose the provocative question: Can shipping save globalisation? Featuring a heavyweight line-up that includes Nikolaus Schües, former BIMCO President, the discussion promises to generate real insight and debate.   Alongside the IMO sessions, more than 300 events will take place across London during LISW25 – from high-level policy debates to technical seminars, networking receptions, and maritime technology showcases.
