Norway’s Ugland Offshore has been awarded a contract in the UK sector for one of its platform supply vessels. Offshore brokers tell Splash, that the 2012-built Evita II has been fixed to UK supermajor BP for six months at an undisclosed dayrate, with further extension options attached to the deal. The Cyprus-flagged 85-m-long unit has mostly operated in the UK sector, with most recent contracts to CNOOC, Shell and Ithaca. Ugland Offshore, part of JJ Ugland Companies, is in charge of the commercial and technical management of two PSVs.
