HD Hyundai Signs New Contracts for 4 Crude and Product Carriers in Shipbuilding News 20/01/2026 HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on January 20 that it has recently signed a contract to build 2 tankers and 2 product tankers with a shipping company based in Oceania. The total order amountt is 481.6 billion KRW. The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and is scheduled to be delivered consecutively by the first half of 2029. Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 9 ships worth 1.49 billion USD to date, achieving 6.4% of the annual order target of 23.31 billion USD (provisional). By ship type, the company has received orders for 4 LNG carriers, 1 LPG/ammonia carrier, 2 tankers and 2 product tankers.
