UK-headquartered oilfield services specialist EnerMech has secured a contract for work on Bumi Armada’s Kraken FPSO in the UK North Sea East of Shetland. The five-year contract is for the provision of crane management and lifting services on the FPSO and will fall under EnerMech’s lifting solutions business line. The deal includes helideck and scaffolding support. The scope could extend to shutdown services, hose and pipework integrity, and rotating equipment. The FPSO is in the UK Block 9/2 B, 350km north-east of Aberdeen. The unit is a converted suezmax tanker with a nameplate production capacity of 80,000 barrels per day, a storage capacity of over 600,000 barrels, and can handle 460,000 barrels per day of reservoir fluids.
