DHL eCommerce has signed an agreement to acquire Venipak Group, expanding its operations into Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and establishing a fully owned presence across the Baltic region. Subject to regulatory approvals, Venipak will become part of DHL eCommerce, while continuing to operate under its existing brand. The current management team and employees will remain in place during the integration process. The acquisition gives DHL access to one of the Baltics’ largest independent parcel delivery networks. Venipak operates approximately 800 parcel lockers, an extensive pick-up point network and provides both B2B and B2C delivery services. DHL said the transaction combines Venipak’s local infrastructure with its international logistics network, allowing customers to benefit from enhanced domestic and cross-border parcel delivery services. “The Baltic states are among the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Europe,” said Pablo Ciano, CEO of DHL eCommerce. “Venipak joins DHL as one of the strongest independent logistics companies in the Baltics, with a valued brand, a highly professional team and significant growth potential.” Following the acquisition, DHL plans to invest in Venipak’s workforce, expand its parcel locker network, increase sorting capacity and enhance its IT infrastructure. The company added that Venipak customers will gain access to DHL eCommerce’s global network, including parcel delivery and returns services and more than 165,000 out-of-home delivery points worldwide.
