Skuld has appointed David Stallard as cargo underwriter for Skuld’s Syndicate 1897 at Lloyd’s. Stallard joins from Ropner Insurance Services and will assist in the development of the marine equipment, subsea and cargo business lines. Prior to Ropner Stallard was at Price Forbes from 2002 to 2007. Douglas Jacobsohn, Skuld president and CEO, said: “David brings excellent experience in marine cargo insurance to Skuld and we look forward to leveraging that knowledge as we continue to develop our cargo expertise. His joining reinforces the first-class quality of Skuld 1897 and mirrors the service excellence with which Skuld is synonymous.” Stallard will be based in London and will report to Skuld 1897’s class underwriter Andy Lane.
