Members are recommended to: • inspect EGR coolers on their engines for signs of failure as described in the Alert; • conduct the inspections regularly, including prior to and entering or leaving port; and • ensure that procedures for regular inspection of EGR coolers are incorporated into the safety management system, if applicable. Members should take note of this information and be guided accordingly.
