Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) will introduce its latest Remote Inspection Technique (RIT) center in Athens, Greece, during a Digital Solutions Seminar at Posidonia 2026 on June 4, 2026. During the event, industry leaders will gather to explore how digitalization is reshaping risk management, operational performance, and supporting asset values across shipping. The seminar “How Bureau Veritas Digital Solutions Reduce Risk, Lower Cost & Enhance Asset Value” , running from 15:00-16:15 in Room 1B, Hall 1, will bring together shipowners, technology partners, and BV experts for a panel discussion on the industry's shift from reactive compliance to proactive, performance-based asset management. The new Athens RIT center – part of a network that has grown from five qualified surveyors in early 2025 to more than 15 across approximately seven global centers – exemplifies BV's commitment to equipping shipowners and operators with data-driven tools as they navigate mounting regulatory and commercial pressures. It is planned that this network will expand further by the end of the year to 16 centers with over 40 qualified surveyors. The event will explore how surveys using RIT support current commercial pressures, reduce off-hire time, eliminate rope access and scaffolding costs, and ultimately extend asset life safely whilst improving operational efficiency.
