This trend was reinforced by two incidents over the weekend involving a Palau‑flagged vessel and a St Kitts & Nevis‑flagged vessel, prompting this security update. Members operating in or near the Somali Basin, Gulf of Aden and wider High Risk Area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, review voyage risk assessments, and ensure ship protection measures are fully implemented in line with BMP .
