Offshore jackup rig player Borr Drilling has revealed details about several new rig deals in its latest fleet status report. The company said that its 2018-built rig Skald has won a contract from oil and gas company Medco Energy for work in Thailand The rig will start work in October 2025. According to the offshore driller, the contract is set to expire in April 2026. The unit is already located offshore Thailand and is working for PTTEP. The contract started in July 2024 but is set to end next month. The 2013-built rig Ran will continue working for Eni after it secured an extension from the Italian giant. The jackup started working for Eni in Mexico in May this year. The deal was supposed to end in October this year, but has been extended until January 2026. Eni has options to extend the deal until the end of 2026. There has also been a change of rigs on one of the previously won contracts. The Norve rig was supposed to work for an undisclosed operator for 11 months in West Africa. The rig will be swapped with the 2018-built Natt. The rig is currently working for Eni in Congo. The rig is set to complete that deal next month and will then move to begin work on the contract previously awarded to the Norve. The offshore driller estimates that the start of operations would be in November 2026 and end in September 2027.
