AUTORIDAD DEL CANAL DE PANAMÁ EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENCY FOR OPERATIONS 3654-A (OPXI) V. 4-2-2015 ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2015 ADVISORY TO SHIPPING No. A-26-2015 August 21, 2015 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Postponement of the Second Draft Restriction Due to the rainfall in the Panama Canal watershed during the past few days, the Panama Canal is now able to postpone the second draft restriction tentatively scheduled for September 15, 2015, announced in Advisory to Shipping A-24-2015. However, the first maximum authorized transit draft restriction of 11.89m (39.0 feet) TFW, which was announced in this same Advisory to Shipping, will still be implemented September 8, 2015, and continue until further notice. Vessels arriving after this date with drafts over 11.89m (39.0 feet) TFW may be allowed to transit depending on the actual level of Gatun Lake at the time of transit. Should the level of Gatun Lake continue to drop and additional draft restrictions become necessary, they will be announced at least four (4) weeks in advance.
