Search for ships currently entered in the London P&I Club by their name or I M O number Search Search for correspondents in our global network by country/area or port/city Search Port State Control Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Safety of Navigation 1 September 2008 From 1 September until 30 November 2008, the 43 Maritime Authorities of the Paris and Tokyo MOU on Port State Control (PSC) will be conducting a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) focussing on compliance with Chapter V: Safety of Navigation of the Annex to SOLAS. During the same three month period, the 6 Maritime Authorities of the Black Sea MOU will conduct a similar exercise. Among other issues, during the CIC, PSC officers will scrutinise whether: All required navigational equipment (such as a Voyage Data Recorder and an Automatic Identification System) is fitted and operational The equipment is type approved and has a record of testing, as appropriate The Master and navigating officers can demonstrate that they can and do use the equipment as required. A ship may be detained if deficiencies are found. A copy of a joint press release from the Paris and Tokyo MOU is attached and further details on the Black Sea MOU CIC can be obtained here .
