CMA CGM has introduced changes to two regional services, consolidating operations in Northern Europe while expanding coverage in the Eastern Mediterranean. The carrier has merged its Dunkirk Express (DKX) service into the Helsingborg Express (HLX), creating an expanded Northern Europe loop that will now also serve Hamburg. The revised service will be operated by two 900 TEU vessels and will connect London (Tilbury), Dunkirk, Hamburg and Helsingborg before returning to London. Separately, CMA CGM has extended its Egypt-Greece-Algeria (EGAL) service to Cyprus through the addition of a call at Limassol, according to Alphaliner. The revised EGAL service, operated with five vessels of approximately 1,300 TEU, will connect Alexandria, Limassol, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Piraeus, Malta and Annaba before returning to Alexandria. The adjustments strengthen CMA CGM’s regional network coverage by enhancing connectivity in Northern Europe and expanding access to Eastern Mediterranean markets through Cyprus.
