The propensity of soya bean cargo to spoil is determined by several inherent factors. Heat damaged soya beans should not be considered as “total loss”, because some extra processing can make the damaged cargo suitable for production, although additional costs will be incurred. The members should take all the proper steps and precautions to avoid potential losses when carrying soya bean to China. P&I Club will assist the members in case of the cargo damage.
