Neptune Lines has marked the first European port call of its newly built Neptune Pireas at NLS Port-La-Nouvelle in southern France. The vessel arrived on 8 June and discharged 4,000 new vehicles , one of the largest volumes handled by the terminal since it began operations. Neptune Pireas is the first vessel delivered under the company’s Genesis Project , which focuses on fleet modernisation and lower-emission finished vehicle transport. The call also highlights the growing role of NLS Port-La-Nouvelle , Neptune Group’s new automotive terminal in southern France. The facility offers 20 hectares of operational space, storage capacity for 10,000 vehicles , 420 metres of dedicated quays and a 2,100 sqm pre-delivery inspection (PDI) centre. The terminal combines Neptune Lines’ short-sea shipping network with road and rail connections, strengthening vehicle distribution across major European markets.
