Adani-owned offshore service provider Astro Offshore has expanded its fleet with an en-bloc acquisition of five more vessels. The acquisition comprises four PSVs, two of which are diesel-electric, and one diesel-electric MPSV equipped with a 160-tonne crane. Financial details were not revealed. The acquisition of the five DP2 vessels brings the total fleet size to 49 and builds on the company’s acquisition of two PSVs earlier this month. The two sister vessels, Sagitta and Sculptor, will join the fleet in the coming weeks. According to Astro, the addition of PSVs and continued investment in its workboat fleet enable the company to support oil companies across key offshore markets. The expansion also strengthens Astro’s position in West Africa. With increased capacity and advanced vessels, the company is better placed to support long-term operations and deliver solutions tailored to regional and international demand. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsUnited Arab Emirates
