As will be seen, the Scheme specifies the geographical regions in which the DECAs apply (see Section 4). It furthermore specifies the emission control requirements which have taken effect from January 1, 2019 (see Section 5, Control Requirements) relevant to SOx and NOx emissions, and requirements for the use of shore power for vessels at berth. Members are requested to take note of these new requirements that are in both English and Mandarin.
