A summary of the priorities is as follows: CAPABILITY BUILDING • Develop and expand MACN’s Helpdesks • Continue to support and further develop eLearning • Develop digital community solutions such as the third party risk management community platform • Continue to conduct best practice sharing with a focus on compliance, frontline perspectives and member stories. MACN MEMBERS’ MEETING OCTOBER 2021 ON 6-7 OCTOBER, MACN WELCOMED OVER 200 REPRESENTATIVES, GUEST SPEAKERS AND EXPERTS AT ITS AUTUMN MEMBERS’ MEETING COLLECTIVE ACTION • Continue to focus on in-country work in line with MACN’s updated collective action strategy • Continue to focus on corruption risks with Port State Control • Explore corruption risks beyond port operations. COLLABORATION INITIATIVES • Continue to be present in the development of an IMO guideline to tackle maritime corruption • Continue to co-lecture at the World Maritime University and seek partnership with academia • Members are keen to meet in person. The Secretariat will explore the possibility of having two member meetings or one global meeting supported by a number of regional meetings. WE ARE SEEING THAT WE ARE GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO OUR GOAL OF A MARITIME INDUSTRY FREE OF CORRUPTION. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT JOURNEY SO FAR, AND WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY.
