The UK Alternative Maritime Fuels Coalition was jointly established by the UK Chamber of Shipping and the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) , the UK Chamber of Shipping said in an announcement on Tuesday . It will focus on alternative fuel availability and port infrastructure to support shipping’s transition to net zero. It will also address the policy measures needed to encourage investment in alternative marine fuels and related infrastructure. Members include IBIA, SEA-LNG, Hydrogen UK, eFuel Alliance, MI - The Global Methanol Alliance and the UK Ammonia Allianc e, among others. The coalition will coordinate industry action, contribute to the UK government’s forthcoming consultation on domestic maritime fuel regulation and promote a technology-neutral approach to alternative fuels. It will also call for maritime revenues from the UK Emissions Trading Scheme to support shipping decarbonisation, including fuel production, port infrastructure and technology deployment. The coalition will meet regularly, with the UK Chamber of Shipping and CLIA acting as joint facilitators. Ship & Bunker News Team To contact the
