Maersk has announced schedule changes affecting its Greater Australia Connect (GAC) and Eastern Australia Connect (EAC) services, including a Fremantle port omission and the reinstatement of a Brisbane call. On the GAC service, SYDNEY EXPRESS 629S/632N will omit Fremantle to reduce delays and protect the vessel’s forward schedule. As a result, import transhipment cargo for Fremantle departing Melbourne will be transferred to MAERSK SHEKOU 633N, while cargo departing Sydney will move on CMA CGM SAMSON 634N. Fremantle export cargo originally booked on SYDNEY EXPRESS 632N will also be reassigned to MAERSK SHEKOU 633N. Meanwhile, on the EAC service, Maersk has reversed its earlier decision to omit the Brisbane southbound call of MEHUIN 629S. The carrier said operational requirements have changed, allowing the Brisbane southbound call to proceed as originally scheduled. The import voyage number for the vessel’s Brisbane northbound call has also reverted to 632N. Import cargo previously delayed by one week will now discharge from the reinstated MEHUIN 629S southbound call, while eligible export cargo originally shifted to EUPHRATES 630S will return to MEHUIN 629S. However, export cargo that had already been reassigned to MAERSK FREMANTLE 631S will remain on that vessel, with no further changes.
