Denmark’s maritime authority on Thursday detained an Iran-flagged container vessel anchored in Danish waters after determining it was not properly registered. LSEG data identify the ship as Nora, which was initially sailing under a Comoros flag. The Danish authority said Comoros had informed it the vessel was not found in the Comoros registry. The Danish body said that it is seeking to ascertain where the vessel is properly registered, after which it will conduct a port state inspection before the vessel can leave. Danish broadcaster TV2, which first reported the detention, said the vessel changed its flag from Comoros to Iran on Wednesday; The Nora was previously called Cerus and is on the US sanctions list over its Iran links. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsDenmark Iran
