CEVA Logistics has extended and expanded its finished vehicle logistics contract with JLR across France and the Benelux region. Under the new three-year agreement, CEVA will become JLR’s exclusive finished vehicle logistics provider in France while increasing its responsibilities for vehicle distribution from the Port of Zeebrugge in Belgium. CEVA takes over full Zeebrugge volumes CEVA will directly distribute 7,000 JLR vehicles annually from Zeebrugge. The logistics company will now handle 100% of these volumes, compared with around one-third previously. The new arrangement will bypass traditional finished vehicle logistics platforms, allowing vehicles to move directly from the port into JLR’s European distribution network. CEVA said the approach is designed to streamline distribution flows and improve network efficiency and service consistency. Zeebrugge and Rotterdam support European distribution CEVA will manage the transport and distribution of JLR vehicles manufactured in the UK and Slovakia. Vehicles will be consolidated through European logistics hubs, including Zeebrugge and Rotterdam, before onward distribution to major markets. The agreement builds on more than a decade of cooperation between the two companies. CEVA has provided finished vehicle logistics services for JLR in the Benelux region since 2015 and in France since 2021. “CEVA Logistics has consistently demonstrated strong operational performance and reliability across our European FVL operations,” said Levent Yuksel, Freight Operations Director, Industrial Operations, JLR. “This expanded partnership supports our ambitions for future growth while advancing our sustainability objectives across the supply chain.” HVO added to transport operations The expanded contract also includes the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) biofuel alongside CEVA’s mass balance approach.
