Danish offshore accommodation specialist CBED has secured employment for one of its two recently acquired service operational vessels. The company, part of Maonjasa Holding, has fixed the 2017-built SOV Wind Evolution to OEG Energy subsidiary Hughes Subsea. The walk-to-work contract will secure utilisation of the former VOS Start until early Q1 2025 and comes with two additional one-year options attached. CBED has since 2008 worked on more than 30 offshore wind projects in Northern Europe. The company announced the acquisition of two SOVs from Dutch shipowner Vroon in December last year, increasing its fleet to three ships.
