Indian offshore vessel owner Global Offshore Services has expanded its fleet with the acquisition of an anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel. According to a regulatory filing from the Bombay Stock Exchange, the acquisition of the vessel continues the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the offshore logistics and maritime services sector. The newly acquired AHTS will support anchor handling, supply runs, and emergency response operations for offshore oil rigs and platforms. The vessel is equipped with dynamic positioning technology and firefighting capability 1 (FIFI1), making it suitable for high-demand offshore operations. No more details were revealed regarding the transaction. According to Equasis, the Indian company currently has two vessels in its fleet – the 2007-built Kamet PSV and the 2009-built Mahananda AHTS.
