CMA CGM has announced changes to the rotation of its SAFRAN service connecting North Europe with the East Coast of South America. The updated rotation aims to improve operational stability and strengthen schedule reliability for customers. One of the main changes includes a rotation swap between Montevideo and Buenos Aires , with vessels now calling Montevideo first. CMA CGM also removed Rio Grande from the service due to ongoing operational constraints. At the same time, the carrier added Itapoa to the rotation. The revised schedule will begin with the vessel SAN RAPHAEL MAERSK on the southbound voyage, with an estimated arrival in Santos on 5 June 2026. The updated rotation will be: Southampton – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Tanger southbound – Santos southbound – Paranagua southbound – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Itapoa – Paranagua northbound – Santos northbound – Tanger northbound – Southampton. CMA CGM noted that Southampton is temporarily replacing London Gateway in the rotation. The carrier said the adjustments are designed to improve overall service consistency and schedule integrity across the SAFRAN service.
