ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2023 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory To Shipping No. A-34-2025 October 30, 2025 TO: All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Modifications to the Transit Reservation (Booking) System Tariffs – Cancellation fee for Long-Term Slot Allocation The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announces modifications to the Transit Reservation (Booking) cancellation policy under the Long-Term Slot Allocation (LoTSA 2.0) program. These changes are based on customer feedback and are designed to encourage early cancellation requests, allowing for more efficient slot reallocation and operational planning. Cancellations for LoTSA 2.0 slots submitted 15 days or more prior to the required arrival date will incur a fee equal to 80% of the awarded bid amount as per tariff 1050.IBC10. Cancellations made less than 15 days before the required arrival date will continue to incur a fee of 100% of the awarded bid amount and will use the current tariff 1050.IBC8, described as “Cancellation of slot acquired through the Long-Term Slot Allocation method”. Slots allocated under the LoTSA 1.0 program in 2025 will retain the current cancellation policy, including the current cancellation fee, in accordance with the established terms and conditions, until the end of their validity period.
