COSCO Shipping Holdings will launch a third weekly service between the Far East and the East Coast of South America in December 2026. The new ESA3 service is scheduled to begin from Ningbo around 17 December. It will expand COSCO Shipping’s capacity in Brazil and increase sailing frequency to Argentina and Uruguay. The planned rotation is: Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Santos – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Navegantes – Santos – Coega – Singapore – Hong Kong – Ningbo The Coega call remains subject to terminal confirmation in October. Meanwhile, COSCO Shipping will review the Hong Kong call during the service’s second cycle. Feeder and inland connections The ESA3 will connect with feeder services from Santos to Salvador and Vitória. A separate feeder connection from Montevideo will serve Asunción. COSCO Shipping will also support the service through its Brazilian and Argentine inland networks. In Brazil, the carrier offers 193 trucking routes serving industrial areas such as São Paulo and Minas Gerais, along with grain-producing regions including Mato Grosso. Cargo can also move by rail from Santos to inland terminals, supported by short-haul trucking at both ends. In Argentina, COSCO Shipping offers 47 trucking routes covering Buenos Aires, Rosario, Córdoba and other inland markets. These services provide port-to-door and door-to-port connections. If confirmed, the Coega call will create an additional corridor for South African agricultural and reefer exports moving to Southeast Asia and China.   The post COSCO Shipping launches new Far East-ECSA service appeared first on Container News .
