InterMoor, Acteon’s moorings and anchors brand, has won a contract from Petrofac for the engineering, mooring equipment, marine spread, installation, and removal of a temporary mooring system for the Northern Endeavour FPSO. Petrofac is managing the disconnection and decommissioning of the vessel, and the FPSO will be positioned offshore Singapore during the decom phase. The Northern Endeavour is a decommissioned FPSO that previously operated in the Timor Sea between the Laminaria and Corallina oilfields, approximately 550 km northwest of Darwin, Australia. The FPSO was permanently shut down in 2019 following safety concerns and was later taken over by the Australian government after the former operator’s liquidation. A comprehensive decommissioning programme was launched, covering well abandonment, subsea infrastructure removal, and dismantling of the FPSO.
