Attacks to Vessels Passing Gulf of Oman 14 June 2019 No.1028 Tweet We have received the below information from our local correspondents, Gulf Agency (Dubai) L.L.C. and Sea Pars Shipping Services Ltd. in Iran. As is reported on the media, on 13 June 2019, two vessels passing the Gulf of Oman were attacked. Despite of the above, as of 19:00 (JST) of 13 June 2019, the ports in UAE and Iran is operated normally and no sea blockade has been carried out by surrounding countries. In addition, the authorities have not issued any circular or notification regarding the safety or navigational for vessels calling Port of Fujairah. However, the tension in the Gulf of Oman is now as high as it gets without being an actual armed conflict. Vessels calling or planning to call the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.
