Taiwanese owner and operator Wisdom Marine has confirmed the sale of two Japanese-built bulkers for about $36m in total. The Taipei-based company is offloading the 2011 Shin Kasado Dock-built ultramax Amis Wisdom III and the 2015 Shimanami-built handysize Bunun Hero. The ultramax is going to China’s Arm Shipping for about $17.5m, while Turkey’s Manta Shipping has picked up the handy for $18.5m. Wisdom said it is looking at a profit of up to $8.6m from the transactions. Taiwan’s largest dry bulk shipowner has a fleet of over 140 vessels with a series of handysize newbuilding projects lined up across Japanese yards. The company most recently ordered a pair of 39,000 dwt ships at Naikai Zosen for up to $70.75m. In addition to handies, Wisdom also booked two kamsarmaxes at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding last year for delivery in 2026. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsTaiwan
