Taiwan’s TS Lines has signed for a much telegraphed order for four boxships. Splash reported last month on a letter of intent – now firmed up – with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for two methanol dual-fuelled 14,000 teu ships and two 7,092 teu vessels. The ships comes with scrubbers with brokers suggesting the prices are $145m per unit for the larger ships and $89m for the smaller ones. TS Lines has ordered at SWS in the past.
