This summer, NorthStandard’s CSR Team hosted two special Celebrating Community Impact events in London and Newcastle, bringing together a range of charity partners to share their work, strengthen connections, and celebrate the positive difference being made in communities across the UK. The events provided an opportunity for organisations working in different sectors to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and showcase the impact of their programmes. They also highlighted the power of collaboration in addressing a wide range of social challenges, from supporting vulnerable communities and improving access to employment, to enhancing wellbeing and providing practical assistance to those in need. In London, guests gathered at Maggie’s at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where representatives from Maggie’s, Stella Maris, and Estudiantes shared inspiring insights into their work and the communities they support. The event offered a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about the challenges facing beneficiaries and the real difference charitable partnerships can make. A second event was held at NorthStandard’s Newcastle office on the Quayside, where attendees heard from Stella Maris, Smart Works Newcastle, and Newcastle Hospitals Charity. Each organisation highlighted the impact of its programmes, from supporting people into employment and improving patient wellbeing to providing vital assistance for seafarers around the world. While each charity's mission is unique, a common theme emerged throughout both events: the importance of collaboration, partnership, and community in creating lasting positive change. By bringing organisations together, the events created space for meaningful conversations, new connections, and shared learning.
