Supertanker specialist DHT has fixed one of its vessels on a one-year contract. The New York-listed revealed in its annual report it had recently sealed a deal with an undisclosed charterer for the 2017-built DHT Tiger. Out of 23 VLCCs currently in DHT’s fleet, seven ships are locked in on time charter contracts. The latest fixture is set to start at the end of March at $52,500 per day. In related news, DHT has recently been linked to some S&P activity and exit of older tonnage, which the company has yet to confirm. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); });
