New Compulsory Insurance Requirements in Australian Waters (No.2) 23 March 2001 No.00-023 Further to our circular to the members No.00-018 dated 1st March 2001 under the title of "New Compulsory Insurance Requirements in Australian Waters", we would like to draw your special attention to the additional information as bellow:- 1.Full Enforcement Date of the Requirements In the above circular, we advised that the date of full enforcement would be 6th September 2001. However, according to the information which we have recently received from Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), the correct date of full enforcement will be  6th October 2001. 2.A Relevant Insurance Certificate (1) Though the Association's address is not shown on its Certificate of Entry (COE), AMSA officials confirmed it completely meets their requirement as it is. (2) Ships will be required to carry an original or certified copy of a COE. We will issue a duplicate COE as its certified copy for the members who do not have an original COE on board their ships. If you wish to have a duplicate COE, please contact the Association.
