FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin The fire-damaged RoRo Blue Carrier 2 has been moved to a sheltered position southwest of Tinos, where salvage and firefighting operations are continuing for a third day following the outbreak of a major fire aboard the vessel north of Mykonos on 25 September. The Greek-flagged vessel, operated by Blue Star Ferries, was carrying 166 trucks and unaccompanied trailers, along with 29 passenger cars, when the fire broke out on deck. At the time, 29 people, 28 crew members and one passenger, were aboard. All were safely evacuated using two lifeboats before being transferred to a Hellenic Coast Guard patrol vessel and taken to Tinos.
