Upfront decision support : Drawing from data across more than 500 newbuilding projects, the advisory service assists operators and investors during the earliest planning stages to optimize costs, schedules, and asset lifecycle quality. North Asian yard benchmarking : The updated New Construction Guide consolidates data on capabilities, strengths, and available orderbook timelines across primary North Asian shipyards into a singular tool, aiding owners as shipyard selection becomes more technically complex. Advancing autonomous and hybrid vessel design with South Korean partners In a series of joint development projects (JDPs) and agreements signed with South Korean heavyweights, LR took steps toward bringing next-generation vessel concepts to commercial reality: Pragmatic autonomous systems : LR joined forces with SK Shipping and multiple HD Hyundai Group entities (including HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering [KSOE], HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Marine Solution, and Avikus) to create a certifiable framework for semi-autonomous vessels.
