China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) (Chimbusco) on Friday (15 May) said it signed a cooperation agreement with Wanhao Energy Group to jointly develop the supply chain for green marine fuels. Under the agreement, Wanhao Energy will leverage its technologies and production capabilities in green liquefied biomethane (LBM or bio-LNG), including established new energy production systems and stable product supply. Chimbusco will contribute its global bunkering network, integrated supply chain operations, and marine fuel marketing and service capabilities to support the partnership. According to Chimbusco, the collaboration is expected to strengthen the integration of green fuel production, supply, and end-use applications, while enhancing the marine fuel supply framework for the shipping sector. “The signing will effectively connect the entire chain of green new energy production, supply, and application, further improve the green marine fuel supply system, provide shipping customers with safe, stable, low-carbon, and efficient marine fuel assurance, and support the industry’s low-carbon transformation,” the company said. Both parties added that they intend to deepen cooperation in the future to jointly establish a safe, stable, green, and low-carbon marine fuel supply system, supporting decarbonisation efforts across the global shipping industry.   Photo credit: China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) (Chimbusco) Published: 20 May, 2026
