Emergency Contact Announcing the International Group of P&I Clubs Fellowship in International Maritime Law 2021-2022 Home Latest updates News Announcing the International Group of P&I Clubs Fellowship in International Maritime Law 2021-2022 14 Oct 2021 Download Sign up for alerts The International Group of P&I Clubs is delighted to announce the establishment of a fellowship for the academic year 2021-2022 for a student pursuing Master of Laws (LL.M.) studies in International Maritime Law at the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) based in Malta. The International Group’s Fellowship for 2021-2022 has been awarded to Mr. Pascal Thomas Mendy from the Gambia to study an LL.M. at IMLI for this forthcoming academic year.  Mr. Mendy is a Legal Officer in the Gambia’s Maritime Administration and has progressed within the Administration showing resilience in the face of all of the challenges that he has faced to date. In order to be considered for a fellowship, candidates are nominated to study at IMLI by the government or national authority they are employed by, and donor funding is then considered on the basis of merit and the individual parameters established by donors. The International Group is delighted that Mr. Mendy and the Gambian administration have accepted the Fellowship award. He is an excellent candidate, a worthy recipient and thoroughly deserving of the opportunity to study at IMLI.
