The project was completed at Zhoushan Xinya Shipyard in Zhejiang Province, with formal completion recorded on 12 June 2026 after roughly six months of conversion work. The vessel, GUANG QI DE ER TA, was originally delivered in 2012 as a nearly 80,000 dwt SDARI-designed Kamsarmax bulk carrier featuring seven cargo holds.
